Men: Take your Lady on a cruise. Have her stare at your reflections in the Ocean. She’ll think your being romantic, but your really letting the Ocean reflect your Flyness.
Synchronize your vacation time with a good friend of yours. (This cheap vacation idea works the best if your friend lives in a different city, but it’s still near by.) House swap for a week when your vacation comes up. The change in scenery will help you feel like you’ve gotten away from your normal life. It might seem like this idea is simple and boring, but trust me the change in scenery will actually make you feel like you’re on a vacation.
Travel is always cheaper off season. Every travel destination has a different peak season. For example: If you want to go skiing you should look into buying your ticket when it first starts to get cold, or closer to the end of winter. The reason for this is because at the beginning of the season the travel resorts will have sales to draw customers in, and the same concept applies for at the end of the season. Off season travel is great for vacationing on a budget.
I know you have seen the PriceLine.com commercials with William Shatner. Sometimes they might seem a little goofy, but they can really save you money when you travel. If you have a travel destination; look for a ticket and hotel with another travel site first, and then compare it with PriceLine.com. That way you’ll know if your getting the best price.
Owning a Time Share usually sucks, but vacationing at one is a great cheap vacation idea. A lot of people are stuck with Time Shares that they don’t even use. Instead of renting a hotel, look to rent out a Time Share. You might save some money, and they usually have a nicer view and feel to them.
Road Trip baby. Grab a couple of your friends, pick a destination you all can pitch in for or that doesn’t cost any money, and just hit the road. Switch drivers every once and a while if it’s a long trip, and just make some memories on the road. This one gets a cheap vacation idea seal of approval.
Go to an Amusement Park for a day that’s relatively close by. This can be your destination for your road trip. Go early in the day, drop about 60 bucks for an all day pass, and go on every ride that you can find. If you really want to save money you can pack your own lunch. Amusement park food prices are sky high.
If you can’t afford airfare to your destination. Look into the greyhound or train tickets. Travel takes longer, but you can usually save hundreds on your tickets.
If you have a week or 2 week vacation and you want to get out without blowing your budget. Just go out of town for a long weekend instead of spending your whole vacation traveling. When your vacation starts, travel to wherever you can afford to travel to, but only stay for 3 days at the most. This way you’ll have the experience of getting away for a little while, but you’ll save money while your back at home.
